…and just like that 10 days in paradise are over!
Why do vacations always feel like they are over in the blink of an eye?!
Ever heard of Guadeloupe?
Yeah, I hadn’t either.
Before meeting Gaylor I had never heard of Guadeloupe, but what I learned during my 10 days there is that it truly is a hidden treasure full of some of the most beautiful places and landscapes I’ve ever seen/been to.
Guadeloupe is a french island located in the Caribbean not too far from my home state, Florida. G’s father was born and raised on the island and moved to France when he was about 13 years old. Throughout the years G and his family visited Guadeloupe nearly every summer and spent some of their best moments on the island. After hearing SO MANY stories from our family about Guadeloupe, I was beyond excited to finally get to go see and explore the island for myself!
During our 10 days in Guadeloupe we kept our selves busy nearly everyday, either spending time with family or exploring as many of the breathtaking rivers and beaches that you can find in Guadeloupe as we could.
and of course eating….

Each place that we visited was unique in it’s own way…
but I’d have to say my favorite place out of all was without a doubt Saut d’acomat!
Pictures don’t do it as much justice as it should, but to be completely surrounded by nature in the middle of nowhere with this beautiful bright blue oasis to jump into was magical!!
I miss it already.
